Process Engineer - Apparatus and component design and procurement (full- or part-time)

Your mission
Our Vision:
100 years after the invention of industrial methanol synthesis, we ​fundamentally revolutionize this technology.
Our disruptive process is based on homogeneous catalysis, which enables us to fundamentally rethink methanol production in a green way. 
To this end, we are launching our first pilot in one of Germany's largest chemical parks to demonstrate our technology based on CO2 and green hydrogen.
We are looking for you to drive this milestone forward with us and thus take the first step towards industrial production of green methanol!

Your ​mission will be:
  • As part of our engineering team, you design plant components (including pumps, heat exchangers, reactors, distillation columns). 
  • You create component specifications, solicit bids, and verify suitability for our plants in compliance with all safety-related standards. 
  • You suggest alternative components, knowing which materials are suitable for seals and steels. 
  • You design chemical apparatus according to specifications, calculate their stability, and develop maintenance plans for our plant components. 
  • You create design drawings, P&IDs, parts lists, and technical documentation as needed.  
  • You communicate regularly with our suppliers, partners and customers.

Your profile
  • You have successfully completed a master's degree in mechanical or process engineering. Ideally, you have specialized in plant engineering, apparatus design and/or thermal separation processes. 
  • You have extensive knowledge in all plant and equipment aspects of chemical process engineering and have a detailed knowledge of measurement and control technology as well as materials science (steels, seals).
  • You know how to perform design calculations for pressure vessels and are familiar with all technical standards and rules in apparatus design. 
  • You have practical experience with components from a wide range of suppliers (valves, pressure regulators, measuring instruments). 
  • You confidently operate technical design and drawing programs such as Autocad, Autodesk Inventor 3D, Pro-Engineer or SMAP. 
  • You enjoy working in Berlin, but are not averse to the occasional national or international business trip. 
  • You are fluent in German and English.

Ihre Aufgaben
Unsere Vision
Wir werden 100 Jahre nach der Erfindung der industriellen Methanolsynthese diese Technologie grundlegend revolutionieren. Unser disruptiver Prozess basiert auf homogener Katalyse, die es uns ermöglicht, die Methanolproduktion grundlegend neu und grün zu denken. Dazu starten wir unseren ersten Piloten in einem der größten deutschen Chemieparks, um auf Basis von CO2 und grünem Wasserstoff unsere Technologie zu demonstrieren.
​Wir suchen dich, um mit uns diesen Meilenstein voranzutreiben und so den ersten Schritt in Richtung industrieller Produktion von grünem Methanol zu gehen!

Deine Mission wird sein:
  • Du legst als Teil unseres Ingenieurteams anlagentechnische Komponenten aus (u.a. Pumpen, Wärmetauscher, Reaktoren, Destillationskolonnen).
  • Du erstellst die Spezifikation von Bauteilen, holst Angebote ein und prüfst die Eignung für unsere Anlagen unter Einhaltung aller sicherheitsrelevanten Normen.
  • Du schlägst alternative Komponenten vor, weil du weißt, welche Materialien für Dichtungen und Stähle geeignet sind.
  • Du konstruierst nach Vorgabe chemische Apparate, berechnest ihre Stabilität, und entwickelst Instandhaltungspläne für unsere Anlagenkomponenten.
  • Du erstellst bei Bedarf Konstruktionszeichnungen, P&IDs, Stücklisten und technische Dokumentationen. 
  • Du kommunizierst regelmäßig mit unseren Zulieferern, Partnern und Kunden.  
Ihr Profil
  • Du hast ein Master-Studium im Bereich Maschinenbau oder Verfahrenstechnik erfolgreich abgeschlossen. Idealerweise hast du dich spezialisiert auf die Schwerpunkte Anlagenbau, Apparatebau und / oder thermische Trennverfahren.
  • Du verfügst über ein umfangreiches Wissen in allen anlagen- und apparatetechnischen Aspekten der chemischenVerfahrenstechnik, Detailwissen im Anlagenbau, Apparatebau, Meß- und Regelungstechnik sowie der Werkstoffkunde (Stähle, Dichtungen).
  • Du weißt, wie man Festigkeitsberechnungen von Druckbehältern durchführt und kennst im Apparatebau alle Normen und Regeln der Technik.
  • Du verfügst über praktische Erfahrung mit Bauteilen verschiedenster Anbieter (Ventile, Druckregler, Messinstrument)
  • Du bedienst sicher Konstruktions- und technische Zeichenprogramme wie z.B. Autocad, Autodesk Inventor 3D, Pro-Engineer oder SMAP. 
  • Du arbeitest gerne in Berlin, bist aber nicht abgeneigt, gelegentlich nationale oder internationale Dienstreise durchzuführen.
  • Du sprichst fließend Deutsch und Englisch.
